Beaumont, March 2016 – Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas has been certified by the Center for Improvement in Healthcare Quality (CIHQ) as providing quality care in the performance of hip and knee surgical procedures.
A team of CIHQ expert surveyors evaluated Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas for compliance to standards specifically designed to assure that hospitals provide safe quality care to patients needing hip and knee orthopedic surgery.

Established in 1999, CIHQ is a private organization dedicated to helping hospitals improve the quality of care rendered in their communities. CIHQ is approved by the Center for Medicare Services (CMS) to deem hospitals as meeting federal Conditions of Participation in Medicare.
