Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas Visitor Information

Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas is performing sacred work every day. We want our patients to have the best stay possible, and have ruled out some important information here to ensure that mission is fulfilled. Please read below to learn more.

Visitor Guidelines

Family and friends are welcome in most areas of the hospital between 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. No visitors under the age of 18 will be allowed.

Overnight guests are welcome - 1 per patient; 2 for patients under 18.

Specialty areas such as critical care areas have shortened visiting hours.

ICU Visitation Guidelines

The ICU has limited visiting hours, which are posted in the Unit. We will make every attempt to ensure that family and designated visitors have as much time as possible with each patient; however visitors may be asked to return to waiting areas for the administration of treatment and to provide patient privacy.

The number of visitors shall be limited to two (2) people at a bedside at a time and they may change out and split the allotted times. This stipulation is related to the space limitations in the intensive care rooms and potential disruption of privacy and noise interruption of other patients.

Special arrangements for the terminally ill/acutely ill will be addressed with the ICU Charge Nurse on each shift.

Visitors in the waiting room should follow regular hospital visiting hours, which are 9:00am - 9:00pm..

No plants and/or flower arrangements are permitted in the ICU.

When the door is closed, please utilize the phone near the door to gain entrance.
