The cardiac rehabilitation at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast is designed to assist cardiac patients in attaining optimal cardiovascular health and fitness. Our program assists patients in reducing or modifying risk factors contributing to coronary artery disease while promoting improved self-image, emotional well being and confidence through education and exercise. It is available to patients while in the hospital and after discharge on an outpatient basis
Who the Program Serves
The cardiac rehab program focuses on patients who have experienced a heart attack, coronary artery bypass surgery, or are living with stable angina. It is coordinated by a registered nurse who specializes in cardiovascular health and rehabilitation, and is provided in a safe and monitored environment under the direction of a licensed physician. The program is flexible and adaptable to each individual’s needs and limitations, and can help individuals to experience an improved quality of life while reducing risks associated with cardiovascular disease.
